The great commission as presented by Jesus to His church was to evangelize the world by making disciples. Acting Outward is the value here. We are motivated and mobilized to touch lives right here in our community as well as around our nation and world. That’s what serving others outside of our church is all about. See the need. Consider how God wants you to take part. Go and act outward with your faith.
Here are some steps to acting outward:
1.Pray. Each week there is a prayer list prepared that includes requests turned in from our congregation, requests brought back from our Project Grace teams, and a list of our Missionionaries and their areas of focus. You can find that prayer list at any of our informational areas.
2.Participate. Get involved with a serving event or missions trip. Throughout the year there are opportunities to serve needs in our community, nation, and world through one-time projects.
3.Get involved. Join a Project Grace team. Project Grace teams are organized aroundserving a specific need in our community. Some are ongoing throughout the year, while other may meet in intervals.
4.Give. God has given you resources of time, skills, and finances. Consider how God would call you to give toward local and world outreach.
5.Serve. Be inconvenienced! Servolution is all of us taking 15 minutes a day to serve the needs of others around us.
